The Orioles were in need of a boost after a last second loss to Fisher’s last week. They found it on Friday night in a 41-13 win over Brownsburg. Avon blew the game wide open in the 2nd half scoring 24 unanswered points.

“I think our defense stepped up and started to play a little stronger and defiantly put us in a position offensively to be able to punch the ball in and score some touchdowns,” said Avon Head Coach Mark Bless.

“We just pounded the ball and we really just pushed them off the ball. We really didn’t need to pass the ball but when we did play action was there for us,” added Avon sophomore quarterback Brandon Peters.

The Orioles improve to 2-3 on the season and they will try and reach the .500 mark next week at Noblesville.
