Suspect sought after stolen credit card used in $1,600 shopping spree

FRANKLIN, Ind.—The Franklin Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for theft.

Police said a vehicle was broken into on Aug. 25 in Franklin, Ind. and within a couple of hours, the credit card was used at Franklin and Greenwood businesses with charges totaling about $1,600.

A review of surveillance video revealed the same male suspect used the stolen card at both locations.

The man is described to be a white male with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and orange shorts. At one location, he was seen wearing a red pullover windbreaker.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Please call 317-262-8477 if you have any information.
