EPA recognizes IUPUI for use of green power

The Environmental Protection Agency has recognized IUPUI for the school’s efforts to go green.

The school meets 10 percent of its electricity needs with green power.

IUPUI purchased nearly 22 million kilowatt hours of green power. That’s equivalent to avoiding the carbon dioxide emissions of more than 3,000 cars per year.

Aong with using green power, IUPUI has also stepped up its recycling efforts and has expanded its water bottle filling stations.
