Several chickens dead after barn fire on city’s southeast side

Indianapolis Firefighters are investigating after a barn fire on the city’s southeast side.

The fire broke out at a barn near South Mitthoefer and Maze Roads just after 6 a.m. Friday.

At least three chickens died though no humans were injured. Three vehicles were destroyed.

Damages are estimated at $100,000.

The fire remains under investigation.
