When we asked Indianapolis residence who they were rooting for, for Sunday’s game we heard people say they’re Colts fans, but they’re also Peyton Manning fans.

Even when the Broncos head back to Colorado, Peyton’s name still lives on here in Indy.

His namesake is still alive and well here in Indy, in an unlikely way.

Colts fans say Peyton is still part of this city, the only problem is, he’s no longer playing for the home team.

“He’s done so much for this city, the hospital, the Super Bowl, the Stadium” said fan Dan Inskeep.

After 14 season with the Colts, he left his mark on Indianapolis quite literally.

Peyton’s name is on the Children’s Hospital and his number 18 is still on a mural not far from Lucas Oil Stadium.

There’s even an edible tribute to Peyton at the Ripple Bagel and Deli in Broad Ripple.

The deli has a sandwich called a “Peyton Pigskin” which is topped with ham, bacon, cheddar and bbq sauce.

“I think we need to support our team that’s here now, I think we do and I wish Peyton all the luck in the world, but I’m all for Luck right now,” said Colts fan Iranna Cotterman.

And it looks like Luck is already leaving his mark too.
