A death investigation is underway after two bodies were discovered in Vigo County. They were reported to Indiana State Police around 10 p.m. Saturday.

The bodies were on private property near US 150 and Pennington Road in northwestern Vigo County. They were found  approximately 150 yards south of Pennington Road and under a small bridge on a driveway which led to abandoned residence at 7400 West Pennington Road. A white 1997 Ford pickup was also found at the scene and is believed to belong to one of the victims. The victims appeared to have been deceased for a few days.

The bodies are partially decomposed, but appear to be an adult male and adult female of middle age or older. Due to the decomposition, positive identification may take a few days. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday. Investigators believe the male and female were in a relationship prior to their death and investigators believe there is no threat to public safety in the area.
