Former Governor Mitch Daniels was in Indianapolis Thursday night to give out $50,000 from his leadership foundation.

Last month, Tim Solso, the retired chairman of Cummins, Inc., was named as the first recipient of the Daniels Prize.  It is an award that is given to Hoosiers who use bold leadership to move the state forward.

Thursday, Solso announced his $50,000 in prize money would go to Summer Advantage USA.

The Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation will announce a Daniels Prize winner every two years.
