ANDERSON, Ind.—A new store in Anderson, Ind. is creating quite the buzz for their bargain prices on name-brand products.

The merchandise is also always changing at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.

“We really can save customers 30 to 70 percent off on name-brand products here at Ollie’s,” said district team leader Tom Habbyshaw. “We get these items on close-out or liquidations.”

The store often sells DVDs for 99 cents, Dirt Devils vacuums for $5 and a variety of laundry detergents for a few dollars. They also have tools that are generally $1-$5, hunting jackets for $30 and jeans for $8. Another item that might interest consumers as the weather gets colder is a 1,000 sq. foot space heater for about $90.

“Our four big, core departments are books, domestics, housewares and flooring that really drive our business,” said Habbyshaw. “And that’s where you can find your biggest savings.”

The store also has a program you can sign up for called, Ollie’s Army. It’s a customer loyalty program, earning shoppers points and extra savings up to 25 percent off. Also, if you don’t find something you like, they change out the products they offer in the building every single week.

Locally, there’s an Ollie’s in Anderson, Carmel and another store opening in Kokomo at the end of October.
