Plainfield police officer injured in motorcycle accident

A Plainfield police officer was injured in a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon.

Just before 2 p.m., the officer was responding to an impaired driver call.  Near the intersection of Stafford Rd. and Brookside Ln., the motorcycle went down and skidded about 100 feet.

The officer was awake and talking, and he was transported to the hospital.  No further word on his condition is available at this time.
