Day care owner found guilty in child’s death

Former Carmel day care owner, Stacey Cox was found guilty on Friday evening of involuntary manslaughter after a baby in her care died.

A jury found Cox guilty of involuntary manslaughter, deception and operating a day care without a license,

She was acquitted on three other charges.

The five month old child was found unresponsive in a broken crib last January.

Cox is set for sentencing at the end of November.
