LOS ANGELES – A TSA agent was fatally shot at Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning, and multiple police officers and ambulances were responding as passengers were being evacuated from terminals, according to our sister station KTLA. Multiple injuries were reported.

The suspected shooter acted alone, authorities said. The Los Angeles Times reported that the gunman had been killed, although officials wouldn’t comment on that development during a briefing earlier Friday. The newspaper later reported that the gunman was in critical condition. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it was responding to a multi-patient incident at the airport. At least six people were hospitalized. (more coverage from KTLA)

Two or three people were wounded after a shooting in the area of Terminal 3 at about 9:30 a.m., according to L.A. police.

A tweet from the airport indicated that an “incident” was underway and that law enforcement officers were on the scene. Multiple reports on social media indicate that the incident involved gunfire.

Multiple officers responded with guns drawn and one person was seen being placed into an ambulance. Dozens of emergency vehicles, including rescue ambulances were on scene.
