Another major Indiana company joined the movement opposing a state constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage in Indiana.

Emmis Communications announced its support for Freedom Indiana, a grassroots coalition that supports marriage equality. Some Indiana lawmakers want to amend the state’s Constitution to define marriage as being between a man and a woman.

Emmis said the proposed amendment would be detrimental to existing and potential Indiana businesses. Other large employers including Eli Lilly and Cummins have also joined the group for the same reason. Last week, Indiana University announced its support for Freedom Indiana.
