BLOOMINGTON – A convicted killer learned his sentence in the murder of a Bloomington pizza delivery driver.

James Finney was sentenced to 65 years in prison. He was convicted last month in the 2011 murder of 22-year-old Adam Sarnecki, who was killed in the parking lot of a Pizza X store.

Police said Sarnecki confronted Finney after catching him trying to break into employees’ cars. Finney told police he shot Sarnecki because he didn’t want to get in trouble.
