Two arrested in connection with October murder, robbery

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police detectives arrested two people in connection with an October murder in which robbery was the motive.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit took 31-year-old Christopher West into custody without incident Tuesday. Michelle Williams, 36, was served an arrest warrant while in custody at the Marion County Jail, where she was being held on an unrelated warrant.

According to police, the pair shot 35-year-old David Williamson on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 19. Williamson died as a result of his injuries; police found him on the bathroom floor of an apartment in the 500 block of Forest Hills Drive. He was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition and later died.

Police said the motive was robbery.

Charges against West include murder, robbery, criminal confinement and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. Williams is charged with murder, robbery and criminal confinement. Both are being held without bond.
