Today will be clear but not as warm as yesterday.

A sunny but cooler day today as another cold front slid through the area dry overnight.  Highs today could be as much as ten degrees cooler than the 60 we hit yesterday.  The cooler weather will likely stick around for a while as we are expecting things to get much colder for the middle of the week.

Here’s the latest timeline of snow…

First comes rain followed by snow…

Expect today’s clear skies to give way to clouds for Monday with late afternoon and evening light rain and mist expected turning over to snow.  One of our models has snow arriving as early as 6pm on Monday.  Snow, sleet and freezing rain overnight and Tuesday morning will make for a slick commute for some motorist.  The Indy Snow Force will not be able to fully treat roads until the rain completely stops so I’d expect to see a few school delays if we don’t see rain turning over to snow until early Tuesday.  Light snow to sleet is expected to continue throughout the day.  It will be light but pesky.

The rest of the week will be dry with us slowly warming.  Tuesday’s high will just be in the mid-30s with Wednesday’s high a good 5 degrees warmer.  We return to the 40s for Thursday with sunny skies.  %0s will be possible by Friday.
