Excise police arrest 18 at Bloomington restaurant

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Nov. 16, 2013) — 18 people were arrested for underage drinking at a Bloomington restaurant Friday  night.

Excise officers were called to Ami on 1500 E Third Street around 10:30 p.m. after complaints the restaurants was selling alcohol to minors. They found minors drinking in two of the restaurant’s private party rooms.

Ami has been preliminary charged with furnishing alcohol to minors, unlicensed employees and failing to maintain records of employee permits. The restaurant was previously charged with sale of alcohol to a minor after serving alcohol to a 18-year-old in August, as well as failure to display permit, unlicensed employees and failure to maintain records of employee permits.
