Two injured after semi flips after possible tornado sweeps through Lebanon

LEBANON, Ind.—Two people were injured after a semi flipped in a parking lot after a possible tornado swept through Lebanon, Ind. Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said the reported tornado cut from west to east around 3:59 p.m., striking businesses in the Lebanon Industrial Park at State Road 39 and I-65. Several residences in the area of South Meridian and South East streets also sustained damage.

Two people received minor injuries when a semi flipped onto I-65 from the parking lot of the Flying J Truck Shop. The victims were transported to Witham Hospital for treatment.

Police said there is no evacuation order in effect, but citizens are advised to avoid damaged areas.

Those who were displaced from the storm can seek shelter at Stokes School at 1005 E. Hendricks Drive.
