Pedestrian struck, injured on southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS – A person was hit by a vehicle on the southwest side Thursday night, police say.

The person was at the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and Tibbs when it happened around 6 p.m. The pedestrian suffered some broken bones, but Indianapolis Metropolitan police said the injuries were not believed to be life threatening. The victim was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
