Johnson County Official: Bodies found after fire at Nineveh home identified

NINEVEH, Ind. (November 23, 2013) – The Johnson County Chief Deputy Coroner, David Lutz, has confirmed the identities of those who died in the fire as John Ryan Slusher-Abbott 6-months-old, Haley Lynn Slusher-Abbott, 18-months-old.

Their mother, Sirena Slusher-Abbott, was taken to Wishard hospital with burns over 35 percent of her body.

Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox says two bodies were found in a Nineveh home ravaged by a fire Friday evening.

Both bodies were found in the upstairs apartment of the duplex.

One of the bodies was found by firefighters sifting through the rubble after the fire. The other was found by a cadaver dog.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
