INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 13, 2013) — A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car early Friday morning.

Sally Peppers was crossing the street at Jefferson Avenue and East New York Street, headed to the bus stop around 6:30 a.m.  That’s when a car plowed through, hit her and sped off without stopping. A witness said Sally was sent flying into the air about 20 feet. She landed under a parked car.

The teen’s family is begging for help to find the person who hit Sally.

“And the driver never stopped, he just left her for dead didn’t care for the world. I’m just hopefully the community would look out for a black 4 door sedan that’s got new front damage and report it to the police to get me some help and closure for my daughter,” said her dad Thomas Peppers.

On Saturday morning, Sally was in the intensive care unit where she is hooked up to a breathing machine. She also has a broken pelvis and leg.

Police were still looking for the hit-and-run driver. The car is described as a dark colored, 4-door sedan that should have front-end damage.

If you have any information call police.
