Bloomington man killed in Tuesday crash

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (Nov. 27, 2013) – A Bloomington man is dead after a crash Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred just after 6:30 PM, six miles west of Bloomington.

Eric Lach, 35, was driving  northbound on State Road 45 near Breeden Road when his vehicle drove left of center, striking a vehicle driving southbound.

Lach’s vehicle then rotated into the path of an oncoming southbound truck.

He was pronounced dead at IU Health Bloomington Hospital following the crash.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department along with the Van Buren FD assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
