LAWRENCE, Ind. (Dec. 3, 2013)– The search continues for a suspect in an early morning shooting while a man fights for his life.

Police said the man was warming up his car when he shot at the Jamestown Apartments. The shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Investigators believe the shooting happened during an attempted robbery. They also believe suspect may have been involved in an attempted robbery at Harrison Point Apartments located right across the street.

Rev. Charles Harrison is concerned about recent violence. He thinks people are getting desperate around the holiday season.

“You don’t have to take from other people to try to provide for you and your family, it is not the way to do it and certainly it is something that is not going to be accepted in this community and we’re going to respond to this. This is not acceptable and we’re not going to allow you to do this,” said Rev. Harrison.

The 10 Point Coalition will send people out Tuesday night in response to recent violence. Rev. Harrison is also urging people to be aware of their surroundings.

Anyone with information about this shooting should call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
