FRANKLIN (Dec. 4, 2013) – That didn’t take long.

A Greenwood man who’d just gotten out of jail ended up back behind bars less than an hour after his release.

Franklin police said Matthew Barrett stole a car at Johnson Memorial Hospital, which is just about a half-mile from the jail. It happened on Friday, Nov. 29.

Officers chased Barrett down and took him back into custody. He’d been in jail for about a week after being caught in another stolen car with drugs and a handgun.
