Civilian medic hit by debris at vacant house fire

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 9, 2013) –  A civilian medic was hit by debris and sent to Eskenazi Hospital at a vacant house fire Monday morning.

IFD arrived on the city’s near northwest side in the 1300 block of W 33rd St around 12:35 a.m.

The two-story, wood frame building had heavy fire upon arrival.

In all, 11 IFD units were dispatched to the fire.

This is the second fire at this residence in a week.
