INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 10, 2013)– We know now how much it cost the Marion County Prosecutor to put former Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer David Bisard in prison.

A final tally from the prosecutor’s office reveals it spent $70, 202 for the trial which recently lasted seventeen days in Fort Wayne. Included are travel costs, expert witness fees and exhibits for the jury.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department spent approximately $20, 000. The courts in Allen and Marion Counties haven’t totaled up their bills yet.

Bisard received a 16 year sentence after his conviction for a fatal drunk driving crash when he was on duty in 2010.
