INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 22, 2013) — A family of four was pulled to safety early Sunday morning after hitting high waters in their car.

The family was traveling from the Detroit area when they came upon a flooded area at Muessing Road and Prospect Street.

A dive team from the Indianapolis Fire Department pulled the family from the stranded Dodge Charger, along with their luggage, and guided them to safety.

The Indianapolis Fire Department would like to remind everyone to “Go Around, Don’t Drown”.  Please find alternate routes around areas with high water. Do not try to drive through it.
