Today will be a tale of two separate days as the first part of the day will remain warm with a rapid drop in temperatures behind an afternoon cold front. If you’re headed downtown for the Colts game temperatures will be significantly colder as you are leaving the stadium. Temps as you head in will be in the mid-40s. Temps as you leave the stadium will be in the mid to low 30s! Temperatures will continue to steadily drop through the overnight hours.
It’s odd that the week’s up and downs won’t be anything like the ups and downs of today. We still will have a couple of colder days but overall most days will see highs in the 20s. Monday’s start will be frigid with highs in the low 20s. Snow showers are expected off and on with no accumulation. We may see a light accumulation to a dusting of snow on Tuesday, especially north of Indianapolis as a fast moving clipper low passes by to our north. Tuesday highs should hit the upper 20s. For the first day of 2014 temperatures will be slightly warmer with highs in the low 30s. It will be colder over the next 48 hours. Thursday highs will be in the mid-20s and Friday could be the coldest day of the week with highs falling to the teens. Saturday won’t be as cold with highs near 30. There will also be a chance for some slight accumulating snow on Thursday. Have a good day and go Colts!
