INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 2, 2014) — The first snowstorm of 2014 kicked off overnight and the snow continued to fall Thursday morning.

Road conditions were rough in spots as a result of the snow, especially the on and off ramps of the interstate system.

In Franklin County, the sheriff’s office issued a Level 2 emergency.  That means the office describes conditions as “extremely hazardous” and advises people to only travel when absolutely necessary.
