INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 5, 2014) – IndyGo is making some changes as extreme winter weather hits central Indiana.

Extra maintenance and driver crews have been called in for Sunday. IndyGo won’t deliver extra service because of the weather, but backup crews will be around to keep service on as close to schedule as possible.

Customers should expect delays and even detours to avoid dangerous areas as road conditions deteriorate. Coordination with Indianapolis DPW will help snow crews be aware of problem areas for the bus service.

IndyGo’s Open Door paratransit service will see more severe impacts due to the nature of this curb-to-curb service. Unplowed neighborhood roads can be problematic, so Open Door riders are encouraged to call paratransit dispatch at 317-917-8758 for updates.

IndyGo’s customer service center will not be open on Sunday, but customers can expect to see updates online at and through Twitter @IndyGoBus. IndyGo’s service alerts page will be kept up to date.
