Indiana Blood Center partners with Colts to restore supply

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 10th, 2014) – The Indiana Blood Center is again partnering with the Indianapolis Colts and their “Light the Town Blue” campaign to increase fan excitement for the playoff game against New England this weekend. They are using this opportunity to restore the state’s blood supply after minimal collections the past few days due to winter weather. All eligible Hoosiers are encouraged to help rebuild the supply by visiting one of Indiana Blood Center’s eight donor centers Friday and Saturday.

 WHERE & WHEN:
 Friday, Jan. 10 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Visit any of the following donor centers to receive a Colts playoff poster, while supplies last: Carmel, Columbus, Downtown Indianapolis, Fishers, Greenwood, Lafayette, Muncie, and Terre Haute.
 Saturday, Jan. 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Visit any of the following donor centers to receive a Colts playoff poster and a Colts football featuring punter Pat McAfee, while supplies last: Avon (Hendricks Regional Health YMCA)**, Carmel, Downtown Indianapolis, Fishers, and Greenwood.
  • Visit any of the following donor centers to receive a Colts playoff poster, while supplies last: Columbus, Lafayette, Muncie, and Terre Haute.
 *Terre Haute donor center is normally closed on Thursday, but will be open on Thursday, Jan. 9
** The bloodmobile at Hendricks Regional Health YMCA is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11
