Police shoot at armed suspect on city’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 10, 2014) — IMPD police say officers fired at a suspect who they say was pointing a gun at someone on the city’s west side, late Friday night.

It happened shortly before 11 p.m. near 26th Street and Ethel Avenue.

Police do not believe anyone was actually shot.

The suspect was apprehended a short time later, when a police K-9 caught and bit him.
