INDIANAPOLIS – If you are looking for the next up-and-coming program in IHSAA basketball, you may want to turn your eyes to Columbus.

Over the past two years Jason Speer has turned the Bulldogs into a strong contender for a championship. They went 23-2 a year before, falling in the Regional round to Franklin Central.

Once again Columbus North appears on their way to another successful season as they sport a 10-2 record early in January thanks to an 83-75 win over Lawrence Central on the road Friday night.

It’s the fifth consecutive victory for the Bulldogs who sit tied atop the Conference Indiana standings with Perry Meridian, who remains undefeated but had Friday night off.

It was one of the many games featured on Friday Night Fast Break on Fox 59. Click on the video below to watch highlights of that game and others featured on the show Friday night.
