CLAYTON, Indiana (Jan. 12, 2014) — Fire crews from Plainfield, Danville, Mooresville, Liberty Township and Monroe Township were all called to a house fire in the 900 block of County Road East 900 South in Clayton.

When crews arrived on scene, heavy fire and smoke were coming from the second story of the home.

The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes.

The family’s pets were inside at the time but all made it out of the home safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Fire officials were called to the same address two years ago for a large barn fire that killed a number of livestock.
