Carmel police request assistance in finding robbery suspect

CARMEL, Ind. (Jan. 13, 2014)– The Carmel Police Department (Criminal Investigations Division) is requesting assistance in finding a suspect from a recent Speedway gas station robbery which occurred on January 5th, 2014.

robberThe subject was seen on video surveillance at the business. The clerk reported that the male had entered the store and told the clerk to give him all the money. The clerk was caught off guard and asked, “What?”

The robber responded, “Give me all your money before I shoot you.”

The clerk gave the man the money.

The robber believed the clerk was moving too slow and threatened to shoot the clerk again. The man was last seen running south from the gas station.

The clerk described the man as a heavy-set black male, between 30-40 years old, 5’9″, black hair, brown eyes.

The Speedway gas station is located at 10005 Michigan Road.  Investigators are asking for anyone who has information related to this robbery or the suspect to contact the Carmel Police Department Investigations Division at 571-2511 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
