Taylor was convicted by a jury on October 31, 2013, for failing to check on the welfare of her son Jayden and failing to obtain medical attention for the child.

Taylor was arrested and charged in 2012 after investigators ruled the death of one-year-old Jayden Noel to be a homicide.

A jury also found Ryan Worline, the live-in boyfriend of Taylor, guilty of murder and neglect of a dependant resulting in death, a class “A” felony.

A forensic pathologist determined that Jayden had died from a fatal head injury which was sustained as a result of blunt force trauma. Worline was sentenced to 65 years.
