ELKHART (Jan. 17, 2014) – The Elkhart community will gather Saturday for a vigil in memory of two women killed during Wednesday night’s shooting at a grocery store.

Krystle Dikes, 20, and Rachelle Godfread, 44, were shot and killed around 10 p.m. Wednesday after a man walked into Martin’s Super Market at 3900 E. Bristol St. in Elkhart. Dikes worked at the store; Godfread was shopping there.

The gunman, Shawn Bair, 22, Elkhart, was shot and killed by Elkhart police officers.

Saturday’s vigil is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the scene of the shooting. Organizers said a prayer and moment of silence were being planned to remember Dikes and Godfread, and to honor those who survived the shooting.
