(Jan. 28, 2014)– A central Indiana couple is among those stuck on a cruise ending two days early because hundreds of people got sick.
Chelsea Hannon and her husband are on their honeymoon aboard the Royal Caribbean “Explorer of the Seas.”
More than 600 passengers have gotten sick since the ship left New Jersey Tuesday.
The Hannons remained healthy, but to be safe, the cruise line is cutting the trip short and not making stops at several of the planned ports.
On top of the more than $3,000 they paid for the trip, the Hannons now face huge fees to change travel plans to try and get home.
The company said all passengers would get a 50 percent refund of their fare, as well as a 50 percent credit toward a future cruise, but the Hannons say it’s not enough.
