Trash pickup resumes in Indy today

INDIANAPOLIS. Ind. (January 30, 2014) – Trash pickup resumes in Indy today after it was cancelled the past three days due to extreme cold.

Residential trash, heavy trash and curbside recycling service will operate on a slide schedule.

Regular Wednesday pick-ups will be Thursday. Thursday pick-ups will be Friday, and regular Friday pick-ups will be Saturday, February 1.

Those whose regular trash service days were cancelled Monday and Tuesday will have double pick-ups Monday and Tuesday next week.

96-gallon routes will be allowed 10 additional bags, and non-cart routes will be allowed a total of 20 bags for collection for double pick-up.

This includes Republic and Waste Management routes.

All services will return to normal Wednesday, February 5.
