Man shot after answering knock on door

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 1, 2014) — A man was shot early Saturday morning after answering a knock at his door.

It happened around 5:54 a.m. on the near north side, in the 2900 block of Annette Street.

IMPD despatch says the when the man went to answer the door, someone fired at him through the door, shooting him.

The victim is cooperating with police and says he believes he knows who shot him.

He was taken to the hospital but his condition was not immediately known.
