INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 7, 2014)– Road conditions were improved Friday morning after heavy snow Wednesday, but potholes continue to be a problem throughout the city and the state.

The Indianapolis Department of Public Works hired a contractor to pick up some of the pothole filling work.

Gov. Mike Pence announced his plan for INDOT crews to repair potholes on interstates which includes using asphalt companies that are typically not operating during winter months to make sure crews have enough materials.

Citizens are encouraged to report potholes to DPW or INDOT depending on where they see the problem. Drivers can also see the location and service status of reported potholes on the city’s pothole viewer.
