LINTON (Feb. 7, 2014) – A Jasonville man accused of killing a Linton teenager in June 2013 agreed to plead guilty in the case.
Randal Crosley, 25, pleaded guilty to murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit rape, criminal confinement and dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance in connection with the death of 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe.
Police say Crosley and Jordan Buskirk killed Wolfe back in June. Her remains were found in a lake days after she disappeared.
In court this week, Crosley said he and Buskirk had talked about finding a person to rape and kill. The pair said Wolfe was a target of opportunity.
Buskirk and Crosley are also accused of fabricating a Facebook post from Wolfe’s account that made it appear she’d written that someone was following her. Police said they had purchased condoms, handcuffs, restraint straps, a rope and a 20-pound weight.
Crosley faces a maximum of 85 years in prison. Sentencing is set for March 4.
Buskirk also entered a guilty plea in the case.
