“Cards for Eddie” campaign to raise spirits of cancer stricken man

The family and friends of Bedford resident Eddie Walton are hoping Hoosiers will come together to make his birthday extra special this year.

Eddie, a father of three, was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer in June of 2013 and started chemotherapy shortly after. Despite several different treatments, the family found out in December that the cancer has moved close to his heart. Eddie now gets Taxotere treatments, which are causing his white blood cell count to go up. These treatments are considered Eddie’s last option.

The former owner of Ed’s Auto Glass is not allowed to leave his home or spend much time around others. He’ll be turning 41 on April 13th, and his loved ones have started the “Cards for Eddie” birthday card campaign to raise his spirits.
