Christopher Justice, 33, is accused of opening fire in the parking lot of KinderCare located in the 6700 block of Eagle View Drive. Police said his ex-wife, 31-year-old Shirley Justice, had just dropped off her two young children before she was shot right next to her car.

Justice’s family alerted police of his whereabouts. IMPD Violent Crimes Unit detectives worked with officials in Lexington to track down and persuade Justice to turn himself in.  Detectives will begin the process of bringing him back to Indianapolis in the coming days.  He was arrested without incident.
