INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 19, 2014) – The jackpot sits at about $400 million ahead of Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.

The $400 million prize ranks number four among all-time Powerball jackpots. It’s the sixth largest lottery jackpot in the world with a cash value of $227.8 million.

Indiana has an impressive track record, leading the nation in Powerball wins with 38. The largest Powerball jackpot ever won in Indiana was a $314 million ticket purchased at a Richmond Speedway in August 2007.

The deadline to buy a ticket for Wednesday’s drawing is 9:58 p.m.

No one won Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot. The jackpot now stands at $172 million for Friday’s drawing.

Powerball tickets are $2 and Mega Millions tickets are $1. Both can be purchased at more than 4,000 retailers around Indiana. Both games also offer multiplier options for an additional $1 per wager.
