Man charged in day care shooting appears in court

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 24, 2014) – A man accused of shooting his ex-wife multiple times outside an Indianapolis day care appeared in court Monday morning.

A not guilty plea was entered for Christopher Justice and a bond review hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

Justice is accused of shooting his ex-wife Shirley Justice outside the KinderCare located in the 6700 block of Eagle View Drive last Tuesday. The woman had just dropped off two children at the day care.

Justice sought refuge in Louisville, Ky., where he later turned himself in to police before being brought back to Indianapolis. He’s charged with attempted murder.

According to family members, Shirley Justice is still in critical condition and communicating in sign language.
