Police searching for suspects after northeast side bank robbery

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 24, 2014)– Police are searching for three men and a vehicle after a bank robbery on Monday.

Just before 2:30 p.m. Monday, IMPD officers responded to A Chase bank at 5745 E. 71st St. in reference to a robbery.

Police say three men, all between the ages of 20 and 30, entered the bank and stated that a robbery was going to happen. Two suspects approached the teller and demanded money. The third suspect remained at the entrance to the bank.

The suspects had bags over their hands and implied they were armed. They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

Officers are looking for a newer model silver Jeep Cherokee, possibly with this license plate: 876VP.

Anyone with information about this robbery is urged to call police.
