Gas main rupture prompts evacuation in Lebanon, now contained

LEBANON (March 3, 2014) – A gas main rupture prompted an evacuation in Lebanon Monday afternoon.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office sent an alert around 1:40 p.m. saying there was a gas main break at Lebanon Street and Green Street. Evacuations were taking place one block east and one block south of the area.

South Lebanon Street is now open again and the Boone County Sheriff’s office confirms the gas leak is contained.
