Police respond to three shootings in 15 minutes

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 5, 2014)– Three shootings were reported within a short time span Wednesday afternoon.

Indianapolis police officers responded to three separate shooting reports within 15 minutes.

  • The first report, from the 1200 block of Eugene St. on the northwest side, claimed one person was grazed by a bullet just after 4 p.m.
  • The second report, from the 4000 block of Independence Dr. on the south side, involved at least one serious injury. Police confirm a man in his 20s was shot in the side but is now in stable condition at Eskenazi Hospital.
  • The third report, from the 3500 block of East 38th Street, left two people with gunshot wounds. These injuries are said to be non life-threatening.
