(March 7, 2014) – A 3-year-old Canadian girl’s adorable gesture is warming hearts across the nation.

Emily James from Innisfil, Canada, decided to cut her hair so she could donate it to make wigs for cancer patients.

“Sometimes kids get sick and then their hair falls out,” she said. “That’s really, really sad.”

She had seven inches of hair cut off. Her favorite doll—Rapunzel from the Disney movie Tangled—also got a new hairdo.

A production crew filmed Emily’s haircut, and the girl’s generosity shines through. In the end, she and Rapunzel ended up with matching bob haircuts.
