NOBLESVILLE (March 10, 2014) – Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a father accused of fatally stabbing his son last year.

Micah Harrison is charged with killing his 2-year-old son Michael in January 2013. They had come from Alabama to visit with family in Noblesville. The stabbing happened at Autumn Breeze Apartments in the 14000 block of Waterlily Drive.

Harrison had told his mother that “someone or something was trying to kill him” before the stabbing. Police observed multiple injuries on the boy, including two in the chest and another in the forehead

When advised of the charges against him in court last year, Harrison begged for the judge to kill him.

“Y’all should take me out back and shoot me,” Harrison said. “I killed my poor little baby.”

He was later ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.
